Artsenta is an award winning art workshop for people using mental health services who are interested in being creative. The workshop offers people the opportunity to explore a range of creative mediums with the support of expert staff.
Artsenta also runs outreach programmes in North and Central Otago. Staff in these regions run Creative Wellbeing Workshops in various rural towns for people experiencing isolation or mental distress.
Artsenta was founded on the belief that the arts, creativity and self-expression are an essential part of every person's health and well-being, and that those in the mental health community should be given the opportunity to realise their creative potential. Artsenta is a creative space that supports people to express themselves, develop new skills and be an active part of their community.
Artsenta is a project of the Creative Arts Trust, a nonprofit organisation that has been operating for over 35 years.
We are a strong, connected network of passionate organisations. Want to join us?
